about

This is an art project.

That's all really. All of these songs were written and recorded in my dorm room 328 of Poling at Oregon State University in less than a month. Most of these songs were squished into the last two weeks of that in which I was often writing and recording around 3 - 5 songs a day. I went crazy during that time. I didn't sleep much, I'd put off doing homework to record, I really wrote everything in my mind, and I thought in the form of song lyrics. This temporary insanity is probably most apparent in all the wild narrations that seemed really cool in a half-dazed sleep filled with constant new ideas that I experienced when I wrote all of them and though I feel they are somewhat beneficial to the album as a whole, alone they freak me out. I didn't really plan this album as much as I had my previous one for this is much more of an audible stream of consciousness. I didn't really know what would happen, I just pushed record and this is what came out.

So before going from me pushing record to you pushing play, I'd like to thank some people. First off, I'd like to thank Mia Stier for the original design of the cover (though this cover design was one I made) as well as for helping to name a track or two. Furthermore, I'd like to thank my roommate, Andres Alvarez for being patient with me constantly recording in the room, Nick Stroud for his opinions on the music and ideas associated with it, Eric Prael for letting me use his keyboard on certain songs, and many others that supported me in making this crazy album.
