Scavenger 04:28
Scavenger Through the streets at night I wander Like a dog I’m a scavenger in this land I’m a foreigner in these soils down under Scouring the streets just the best that I can Oh they all look the same And I no longer have a name I’m just a gringo here Just and easy money machine Oh so I wander alone Trying to find my way home In the dreary avenues I find That my sense of direction has failed me this time So wake me up Send me a line I ain’t no savior, I’m just a lover but not tonight Away from your arms No need for alarm I’ll find my way, I will not stray and I’ll back in a matter of time So the moon cannot be my guide For the streetlights shine too bright Leaving only its essence in the sky And it shimmers only in my heart tonight So wake me up Send me a line I ain’t no savior, I’m just a lover but not tonight Away from your arms No need for alarm I’ll find my way, I will not stray and I’ll back in a matter of time So wake me up Send me a line I ain’t no savior, I’m just a lover but not tonight Away from your arms No need for alarm I’ll find my way, I will not stray and I’ll back in a matter of time

Home 04:15
Home So I set out on a journey A one month trip free of worries Just a wandering a country in hopes to find myself And I found myself a white man Just a tourist in a foreign land Just a pocketbook to everyone that I met Oh but I don’t mind it much For you’ve always got to be someone’s crutch And if they choose to limp on me, well I don’t blame them at all And I once sang only love can cure me now Oh the meaning of which I’ve just found out Yes it’s the best cure oh I know that it really is And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me And I can’t wait to return to your loving arms And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me Oh and I can’t wait to return to your loving arms Oh and such a length apart ain’t no time Though thoughts of you are always on my mind And I hoped that this time would fly oh to no avail But when I return I have stories to be shared So open your ears and be prepared And I will do my best oh I’ll do my best to keep my tales interesting And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me And I can’t wait to return to your loving arms And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me And I can’t wait to return to your loving arms And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me And I can’t wait to return to your loving arms And I heard home is where the heart is and my heart is with those that love me And I can’t wait to return to your loving arms

The Anchor 08:28
The Anchor You’re the creek that keeps our shores together You’re the fiery flame that burns to bright You’re the heart of gold, the ideal lover Yeah you’re the polished gem left so refined Oh and I do not see why you love me But you do and you’ve put your heart on the line And mine’s out there too, I’ve sworn it to you And it’s fragile yet you treat it so kind And I’ll be the anchor on your hip To keep all the little things together on this ship Yeah I’ll be the umbrella on your arm To keep you safe from any little type of harm So lay your troubles out to me and I’ll show some signs of sensibility Yeah I’m only one man but I’ll do what I can to hold onto you Yeah you’re a rare bird – the only one that I’ve found And I’ll do all I can to keep you around Yeah you’re my equal and you’re far worth flying to And I’ll be the anchor on your hip To keep all the little things together on this ship Yeah I’ll be the umbrella on your arm To keep you safe from any little type of harm (Chorus repeats)

Apacheta 03:25
Apacheta On the desert peaks I ventured out of breath, nothing left, an aching head, feeling dead, but in love with this place And the sights that it holds, yeah on the mirador I gazed! soul ablaze, brain in haze, and made an apacheta asking the gods for this not to be the end of my days, though if I died here right now oh that would be such a splendid way But I must make it through for I long once more just only to see your face and if you were here right now oh I would never want to leave this place And oh god I could stay here forever in the mountainous depths of your winter weather Oh so knit me up a llama wool sweater for I think I'll stay here a little while And as we descended into the Colca I could feel my own heart beating with the bumps in the road And I knew something was coming for I could feel it in the depths of my soul And if this canyon closed in on me right now and decided to swallow me whole, well, I wouldn't mind it no, no for the matter of reaching happiness was my final goal And oh god I could stay here forever in the mountainous depths of your winter weather Oh so knit me up a llama wool sweater for I think I'll stay here a little while

American 01:44
American You’ve got a good heart You’ve got a good heart Just because you didn’t kidnap us with your car I think you’ve got a good heart They look pretty American In those American close And though know this is their home They look pretty American in those American clothes And I know I can’t fit in And I know I can’t fit in Unless I change the color of my skin Oh only then will I be able to fit in And unless I speak in their tongue, Don’t look so dumb, Can breathe right with my lungs, Change my pigment and my bloody, Learn the customs of your land, Wear new clothes to match my new skin Only then will I be able to fit in But since I don’t have that power in my hands I guess I’ll just have to be a helpless American in a foreign land

The Rain 04:12
The Rain Three weeks in on a bittersweet vacation And I’m missing you and I’m sick on my location And of course I miss other things Like my bike, my friends, and my family And I probably miss my guitar And the moon bouncing in my backyard And the way the air smells in that town And the people understanding the words from my mouth And the way I feel when I kiss your lips And place my hands upon your hips And smiling till it hurts my face Oh I can’t wait to return to that place But one thing that I never knew Never thought I’d care to return to was the rain Yeah I never thought I’d miss the Rain Turning dirt into mud and rusting us all the same But it’s winter here in this hemisphere And it’s absent from this place And no matter my length away from that state I never thought I’d miss the rain So I hope you kept your fires burning bright For I’ve been thinking about you long after I fall asleep at night And there’s not much to do in that town And I’m oh so glad you are around I’m glad to have met you now Glad you checked the yes box when I asked you out And in one more week I’ll be back with you It’s the only thing I want to do But this I could anticipate For you’re mostly what I miss in that state But one thing that I never thought Didn’t think I’d care if I saw again or not was the rain Yeah I never thought I’d miss the Rain Turning dirt into mud and rusting us all the same But it’s winter here in this hemisphere And it’s absent from this place And no matter my length away from that state I never thought I’d miss the rain Oh I never thought I’d miss the rain…

Farewells 03:33
Farewells Ecuador and Peru you treat me so damn kind But for now I must be leaving you behind And I have very much enjoyed my stay And I do know that I will come back to you someday But for now I must be returning And it was a pleasure for you to have me sing And whether I’m lost in the Sacred Valley or in the Colca puking When I go home it’s all of you that I will be missing And I know somewhere there is a heart And somewhere there is a soul And when ours cross paths again Oh you’ll be the first to know But for no I must begin to return to my old friends Only to have new old ones when I return here again And I know somewhere there is a heart And somewhere there is a soul And when ours cross paths again Oh you’ll be the first to know But for no I must begin to return to my old friends Only to have new old ones when I return here again And everyone that I met Oh well it was nice to meet you And once I do return Oh I will have more words to speak to you And in the meantime I will miss your ways Oh I will miss your face Oh I will count down the days And one day I will find my footprints to retrace I will find my footprints to retrace…
